Luxury Rental Homes.com, offers online booking and property management services for short-term rental purposes, for tourist use. The Traveler who will make a reservation through the Site, must provide data such as: name, surname, address, e-mail, telephone number, payment details, number and names of the other Travelers, preferences relating to the stay. In accordance with the European laws on the protection of personal data, LRH observes suitable procedures to prevent such personal data from being consulted without authorization or misused. To protect and safeguard the personal data provided, LRH uses appropriate procedures and systems. In addition, LRH has implemented and uses security procedures and technical and physical restrictions regarding the access and use of personal data on its servers. Access to personal data is allowed only to authorized personnel, and can only take place during the course of their work. The credit card data of users, in cases where they are necessary for the booking process, are kept for a maximum of 10 days. After this period, the data of the same credit card will be permanently deleted or stored in an encrypted form in the LRH system for fraud detection purposes. If the Traveler has chosen to save the credit card data in his / her account, these will always be kept in encrypted form, but without the last 4 digits of the credit card number. The data provided by the Traveler could also be used for marketing activities within the limits permitted by law, for example: the Traveler may receive news about products and services related to the world of travel. With the traveler’s consent, LRH may also send newsletters via e-mail. At any time the Traveler can decide not to receive marketing communications anymore or to completely disable the reception, using the appropriate link in each newsletter. On some occasions LRH may contact the Traveler by e-mail, post, telephone, sms, depending on the type of shared contact information. This could happen to manage a request for information, to send the traveler material relating to their booking, to detect and prevent fraud or other illegal or unwanted activities, to improve the services that LRH offers to the public, to enrich the experience of users and finally, to improve the functionality and quality of our online travel service. In some cases LRH may share the Traveler’s personal data with third parties, such as the owners of some properties, not managed by LRH but only advertised on the Site, or with third parties providing services, for example those who work to manage the Traveler’s personal data exclusively on behalf of LRH. Among the purposes of the aforementioned data management, there may also be the sending of marketing material or analysis services. These managers will be required to comply with confidentiality agreements. The Traveler’s personal data may also be shared by LRH with law enforcement or other governmental activities in the cases provided for by law or if strictly necessary to prevent, detect or pursue any criminal acts and fraud. LRH works with commercial partners all over the world to advertise its properties and the services offered relating to the travel sector, for this further reason it may also share personal data with the latter.
